NATIVE MILKWEED FOR THE MONARCHS!

Some call it 'asclepias asperula' & 'asclepius viridis', some call it antelope horn & green antelope horn, the caterpillars and butterflies call it SURVIVAL! What is the difference between the two varieties? Rarely, are they distinguishable, but both are equally valuable to the precious Monarch population. The key factor to the health and vitality of the butterfly population, is ensuring that these plants are readily available....LOOK NO FURTHER!

ARE YOU READY FOR SPRING? We've got you covered!!

Lone Star Nursery has many exciting new things happening this spring! We have expanded our nursery to accommodate local plant needs! This means new exciting annuals, local perennials, a few exotics, herbs, medicinals, and of course, your old standards. While you won't see us at any Farmer's Markets, you will easily find our plants at many area retailers. Though we greatly miss working face to face with our dedicated market customers, we are very excited about broadening our availability to nearly 20 local retailers. See our list below for retail locations.

FALL VEGETABLE PLANTING

The heat is dwindling, and likely so is your tomato supply! We are offering some very unique varieties of organic heirloom vegetables, just in time for the arrival of fall! Broccolis, cauliflowers, kales, chards, collards, brussel sprouts, artichokes, arugulas, lettuces, asparagus, rhubarb, and MORE!

Get into your garden and make some space, then head on over to Cedar Park Farmer's Market at Lakeline mall on Saturdays from 9-1, or Mueller Farmer's Market at Mueller Hangar on Sundays from 10-2, and get your garden treasures!

Greetings in 2014! As we shake off the winter chill, we remain snug and busy in our greenhouses! This March, we are partnering up with The Texas Farmer's Market to spread awareness, and organic milkweed plants, to feed the monarchs. This article provides ample information regarding the history, our mission, and what you can do to help. It's as easy as planting a seed!
